After the Big Day
Once the day is over, it is good etiquette to write to the parents of the bride to thank them for arranging and hosting the day and welcoming them to your family. This thank you should be written regardless of whether you contributed to the cost of the wedding.
After all those months leading up to the wedding, it's not uncommon to suffer an anti-climax especially if the wedding has been the main topic of conversation over the last few months. To help ease the blues, try and arrange something in your diaries so that you have something new to look forward to - this could be a weekend away, a longer holiday, a family get together or trip to the theatre.
If you've got lots of photos from the wedding, why not create your own photo album or collage as a reminder of the day?
