Bride's Speech

As it has traditionally always been the men who have made a speech - there is no set list of things to include in a bride's speech.

Most brides choose to:

  • Thank everyone for coming
  • Thank their husband for his kind words
  • Tell a story about how they met their husband
  • Say a few touching words about their husband - what he means to her and how much she looks forward to their new life together.

If you have a master of ceremonies, they will need to be informed in advance that the bride wishes to say a few words. If this isn't the case - the bride should then introduce the best man to speak and 'embarrass' her husband.
